You can change the color of many objects used in creating a Powtoon.
You will know if an object can be re-colored if, after selecting it, the Color or Color Filter icon is displayed.

The icon can be either a solid color or multi-colored.

Using the basic colors
From the Basic Colors, click the desired color.
Using the hex color code
- Enter the exact 6-character hex code in the field immediately below the Basic Colors.
- If this is a color that you plan to use again in the future, add it to My Colors by clicking the + sign. The new color will be available for future use.
Creating a custom color
- Click the arrow to open the color picker.
- Drag one or both of the sliders to set the color that you desire.
- If this is a color that you plan to use again in the future, add it to My Colors by clicking the + sign. The new color will be available for future use.
To delete a custom color:
Click the x that appears when you hover over the color.
Using the color sampler
Use this tool to detect a color anywhere on the stage and then apply it to a selected object, slide background, or text.
- Select the object that you want to re-color. In the screenshot below, the brown desk is selected.
- Click the object's Color icon to display the color picker.
- Click the Color Sampler. Your mouse cursor will change to an eyedropper.
- With your mouse, hover over all the objects on the stage until you find the desired color. In the screenshot below, the eyedropper is hovering over a dark green leaf. Note that the color is detected and is displayed in the color picker.
- Click the eyedropper. The color will be applied to the selected object. In the screenshot below, the desk is now colored dark green (as is the leaf).
Using a company color
A company color is a pre-determined groups of color that have been hand selected by your management team, and approved for use in your Powtoon.
- Select the text that you want to re-color. In the screenshot below, the text is selected.
- At the bottom of the color selection tool, you will see your companies pre-selected color palette.
Using the Color Filter
The Color Filter option will apply a monochromatic color filter to an object.
- Select the object that you want to apply the filter to. In the scene below, the cake is selected.
- Click the object's Color Filter icon to display the color picker.
- Select the color you wish to use for the filter. In the image below, a yellow filter is applied to the cake.
Removing the Filter
The filter can be removed by selecting an object that has a filter applied, and clicking Clear Filter
