You can change the color of text using any of the following methods:
Selecting a basic color
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- Select one of the basic colors.
The text color will be changed.
Using a hex color code
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- In the field beneath the basic colors, enter the 6-character hex code.
The text color will be changed.
Creating a custom color
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- Click the arrow to open the color picker.
- Drag the sliders to set the color that you require.
Using the color sampler
- Click Color above the text box.
- Click the color sampler. Your mouse cursor will change to an eyedropper.
- With your mouse, find the color that you want to use for the text. Once you click on the color, the text color will automatically be changed to match.
Deleting a custom color
Make sure you have selected My Colors
- Hover over the color that you want to delete until an X appears.
- Click the X. The color will be removed.
Using a company color
Make sure you have selected the company colors. The name will change according to your company. At Powtoon, they are called 'Powtoon Staff colors'
A company color is a pre-determined groups of color that have been hand selected by your management team, and approved for use in your Powtoon.
- Select the text that you want to re-color. In the screenshot below, the text is selected.
- At the bottom of the color selection tool, you will see your companies pre-selected color palette.
Changing the Color using Rich Text
Rich Text is the ability to change individual characters within a single text-box.
- Highlight the specific letters and numbers you want to change.
- Using any of the methods mentioned above, select a new color.
- The text you have highlighted will change the color.
