Batch Editing is a feature that enables you to make large scale changes to your Powtoon with a single action.
Batch text editing will first be released to work with two types of formatting: Font and Color.
Font
You can change the font on a single text box, and have that change effect every other text box where the same font was used
Color
You can change the text color on a single text box, and have that change effect every other text box where the same text color was used.
Changing the Font
- On the stage, select the text that you want to format. The formatting options will be displayed on the stage.
2. While the text is selected, click on the gear icon, and then select the font.
3. Select the new font, and click "Apply to matching fonts".
All the text in your Powtoon that matches the original font, will be automatically changed to this new font selection.
Note: There must be at least one other matching text box for the "Apply to matching fonts" button to appear.

In this example, every text box in the Powtoon using the Tall (Anton)font will be replaced with the Upgarde (Archivo) font.
Changing the Color
- On the stage, select the text that you want to format. The formatting options will be displayed on the stage.
- Click on the color selector.
- Select the new color, and click "Apply to matching colors".
All the text in your Powtoon that matches the original color, will be automatically changed to this new color selection.
Note: There must be at least one other matching text box for the "Apply to matching colors" button to appear.

In this example, every text box in the Powtoon with a black text color be replaced with a orange text color.
Note: It will take a few seconds until the slide thumbnails on the left side are updated with the new changes.
Why can't I use the batch edit feature?
There are a number of reasons why you may not see the option to batch edit in your Powtoon. Below you will find an explanation of the most common issues.
1) There are no matching fonts to batch
If there are no other matching fonts in your Powtoon, then the option to "Apply to matching color/font" option will not appear.
