With Powtoon Capture, you can create a professional recording of your screen, camera, or both.
Before starting, make sure that:
- You've downloaded and installed the Powtoon Capture extension.
- You have enabled your camera and microphone in Chrome.
To create a recording:
- Launch the Powtoon Capture extension from the Chrome toolbar.
- Create your Powtoon Capture using one of the following modes:
Make sure that your microphone is toggled on.
3. Click Design and then select the camera window shape that you'd like for your recording. The camera window is the frame in which your face is displayed during the recording.
4. Click Video and then select the resolution that you'd like for your recording.

5. Drag the camera window to where you'd like to position it on the screen and set the size of the window (small/medium/large).

6. Click Record.
7. Select (by clicking) what you want to record: your entire screen, an application currently running, or a specific Chrome tab.
8. Click Share.
9. Wait for the 5 second countdown and then begin speaking while you record your screen.

10. When you're done recording, click Stop sharing in the browser.

After you've stopped the recording, the video is processed and then displayed on the Powtoon player page. At this stage, you can:
- Copy the player page URL by clicking
- Download your Powtoon as an mp4
- Edit your Powtoon in the Powtoon Studio
Important: A Capture longer than 3 minutes cannot be edited in the Studio
