Managing Your Powtoon Captures

All your Powtoon Captures are saved in your Workspace. From this hub, you can perform the following actions:

As soon as you finish recording a Powtoon Capture, it is saved automatically in your Workspace—in the Toolbox section. This is where you'll find your most recent recordings.

Saving your Capture in a folder

  1. Click View all in the corner of the Toolbox.

  1. Filter your content by Capture to see only your recordings.

  1. Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and then select Move to.

  1. Select the folder to move the Capture to and then click Move.

Viewing your Capture

  1. In My Powtoons, locate the Capture that you want to view.
    ► If the Capture was not saved recently, you will need to click View all to see all your content.

  1. Play your Capture using either of the following actions:
    ► Hover over the Capture thumbnail and then click the play button.
    ► Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and then select Preview.

The Capture recording is played.


Downloading your Capture to an MP4 file

  1. In My Powtoons, locate the Capture that you want to download.
    ► If the Capture was not saved recently, you will need to click View all to see all your content.
  1. Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and then select Download MP4.
    ► You will have this option only if you have a paid subscription plan.

The MP4 file is downloaded to your computer and saved in your designated downloads folder.


Deleting a Capture

  1. In My Powtoons, locate the Capture that you want to delete.
    ► If the Capture was not saved recently, you will need to click View all to see all your content.
  1. Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and then select Delete.

  1. If you're sure that you want to delete, click Delete.

The Capture is deleted.

Editing a Capture

  1. In My Powtoons, locate the Capture that you want to edit.
    ► If the Capture was not saved recently, you will need to click View all to see all your content.
  2. Click the three dots on the Capture thumbnail and then select Download MP4.

  1. Your Capture will then open in the Powtoon Studio.

A Capture longer than 3 minutes cannot be edited in the studio.
